Frequently Asked Questions.

What information will my Insurance Company require?

Insurance companies generally want to know the age of the furnace, hot water tank, air conditioner and the approximate age of the roof as well as the type of plumbing pipes and electrical wires that are in the home. A Home Inspection will answer most, if not all, of those questions and it will all be outlined in the Inspection Report!

How long does an Inspection take?

An average inspection takes 3 hours on site.

Can I be on site during the inspection?

Yes! I love it when clients follow me around and ask a lot of questions. I feel the client gets a better understanding of the home and the report if there is dialogue during the inspection.

However, if the client is unable to attend the inspection or only a part of it, I am more than happy to do the inspection on my own as long as a realtor or the home owner gives me permission to access the property.

What are the top items to be inspected?

My top 3 items are water issues (roof, windows, basement, etc), foundation and electrical. Check out my Instagram page to see videos explaining each one of these in more detail! @couperhomeinspection
